When a patient is harmed instead of helped by any medical professional, it is a serious breach of trust. Since various legislative changes in 1995, as well as many reported cases from the appellate courts in the last decade, the process of suing any medical professional has become more complicated and costly than ever. Ms. Eardley handled legal malpractice for the defense side early in her career, and recognizes that it is a very highly charged and multi-layered area of litigation. She also sees it as a high calling for her profession, and takes pride in doing what she can to see that clients hurt by lawyer errors are compensated. She selects a few cases each year that meet the difficult criteria set forth by current law, and has a wide array of legal experts with whom she works to establish and prove legal malpractice for her clients. Again, this area of law is one that demands attention to detail and perseverance. It also requires a strong gut of an advocate to confront one’s fellow lawyers and follow through to right the wrong committed.
