Attorney Eugenie (Genie) Eardley was born and raised in Washington, D.C. and the Eastern Shore of Maryland. She graduated from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in 1987, and Georgetown Law in 1991. She worked her way through college and law school, for various Congressmen and as a legislative director for a United States Senator. She also was a Reagan appointee to Secretary of Education William J. Bennett at the U.S. Department of Education and in the Reagan White House. She began her career as a plaintiff’s personal injury trial lawyer in Virginia. In 1993, Genie moved to beautiful West Michigan, and met and married her husband, John Eardley, also a lawyer. For several years they practiced law together, handling all types of litigation throughout the State of Michigan, emphasizing negligence, including medical and legal malpractice, brain injuries, employment discrimination and family law. In the past 2 years, John has retired, and devotes himself to caring for their 2 youngest children. Genie now has focused her statewide practice exclusively to medical and legal malpractice, and employment discrimination litigation for plaintiffs. She has a special interest in Whistleblower cases, and has served as an expert in legal malpractice cases. Genie is an active Member of the Executive Board of the Michigan Association for Justice, the Amicus Committee for MAJ, and National Employment Lawyer’s Association. She also serves on the State Bar of Michigan Judicial Qualifications Committee. She is a Member of the Michigan, Virginia and District of Columbia bars, and is admitted in several federal courts, including the 4th and 6th Circuit Courts of Appeal, and Western and Eastern Districts of Michigan.

Hillary attended Davenport University in Grand Rapids, Michigan where she earned a Bachelors Degree in Paralegal Studies. She began her career at Eardley Law Offices, P.C. as a working intern, and impressed us so much that we hired her fulltime when she completed her studies. Our clients and we have been very fortunate to have her with us ever since. Before coming to the world of litigation, she was employed in the health care field, as well as higher education. Hillary graduated from Allendale High School here in Michigan, where she graduated with honors. She also participated in several extra-curricular activities including dance, and she is a member and instructor at a Grand Rapids dance company. Hillary is the voice and face of our firm on a daily basis. She is well aware of the dire circumstances many of our clients face, and handles their needs with sincere compassion and great skill. |
